This document outlines the agreed elements of the collective agreement for primary school teachers 2019-2022. This agreement was reached between the Minister of Education and the New Zealand Training Institute Te Riu Roa (NZEI Te Riu Roa) and is subject to ratification by NZEI members Te Riu Roa in accordance with Section 51 of the Labour Relations Act 2000. 10. Payment is assessed for part-time teachers on the basis of their full-time equivalent (FTTE) as of June 13, 2019. NZEI Te Riu Roa staff members who, as of June 13, 2019, will be covered by the primary teachers` collective agreement and who were on leave from that date pursuant to Part 4 of this collective agreement, will be entitled to a one-time gross payment of $1,500 if they return to their post on January 28, 2020. The parties agree that it is desirable, in the medium term, for there to be a single set of standards for teachers. Therefore, the parties agree to take cooperative measures to review the standards of the agreement and, if necessary, revise them to ensure that the standards of the agreement are, as far as possible, in line with the standards developed later. 6. The parties agree to introduce a clause allowing, in agreement with the Minister of Education, teachers to take the lead role of Kahui Ako to have access to the relevant provisions of the primary princes` collective agreement that harmonize the provisions for the entire sector.
